Solar PV/ Solar Thermal Power generation project allotment by Government of INDIA

The NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam of the Indian Government has announced the approval of Solar Project in the first phase of the most ambitious Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. The allotment includes the 150 MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant and the 370 MW Solar Thermal Power Plant.The final pricing was at Rs. 13.00 per KWh. The developers of the project were backed by foreign investors, manufacturers of solar PV Panels, inverters and other related charge controllers. RWE to buy carbon credits at a 20% discount from India solar heat project

Mumbai, AG, Germany’s second-largest utility, agreed to buy 227,460 United Nations emission credits at about 20 percent below market prices from a solar water heating project in India. The emission reductions will be generated by having 15,000 households, hotels and other users of electric water heaters switch to solar water heating, Ashok Singha, chief executive officer of CTRAN Consulting, an environmental advisory company that managed the project, said by telephone.
