National Energy Conservation Awards 2010

Inorder to promote the need for energy conservation, the Ministry of Power under Governemnt of India, has announced National Energy Conservation Awards 2010.
The following buildings with a minimum connected load of 200 KW is eligible for the awards
1. Office Buildings
2. Hotels
3.Hospitals
4.Shopping Malls
The scheme is open to all Industrial units in the following sub sectors of Large/Medium/Small Scale Industries:
1. Aluminum
2. Chemicals
3. Edible Oils
4. Glass
5. Paper & Pulp
6.Refiniery
7.Tea
8.Automobile
9.Chlor_Alkali
10.Fertilizers
11. Integrated Steel
12. Paint & Allied Products
13. Refractory
14. Tyre
15.Aviation
16.Consumer Goods Manufacturing

  1. Food processing
  2. Jute
  3. Petro chemicals
  4. Re-rolling mills
  5. Textile
  6. Cement
  7. Drugs and pharmaceuticals
  8. Forging
  9. Mini steel plant
  10. Petroleum pipeline
  11. Sugar
  12. Thermal power stations
  13. Ceramics
  14. Dairy
  15. Foundries
  16. Mining
  17. Plastics
  18. Steel re-rolling
  19. General Category *

*If any units does not fall under any of the above specified sub sectors, the unit is encouraged to send the nomination under the General Category.

The last date for receipt of filled-in applications is 20 October 2010.
